Poirier hoping colleagues support outdoor liquor sales

NORTH ATTLEBORO -  State Rep. Betty Poirier has been working in support of legislation filed to allow restaurants to sell alcohol outside of their establishments.

Bills in the House and Senate would allow at least a temporary reprieve for restaurant owners trying to bounce back from the limitations imposed in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Poirier is a proponent of the bill and hopes her colleagues and Gov. Charlie Baker approve the law before it's too late for restaurants struggling to remain open.

It was one of many issues she discussed during her weekly visit to North TV.
