McQuade nomination as NAPD chief approved

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Detective Lt. Richard McQuade was officially named the successor to Police Chief John Reilly when the latter retires at the end of next month.

McQuade was among two dozen applicants for the position and was chosen by Town Manager Michael Borg. Reilly has served in the department for 33 years.

Members of the town council approved the appointment at Monday’s semi-monthly meeting.
