Plainville's third graders may be moving

PLAINVILLE - A newspaper article about a proposal to move second grade students from one school to another next door was criticized during Wednesday’s virtual meeting of the school committee.

Plainville is considering a move, but it would be the town's third graders shifting schools.

The Jackson School currently houses Pre-K to Grade 2 and the Wood School, located feet away, is home to grades three through six.

The potential move was discussed under the heading of new business.

Wednesday night’s meeting of the Plainville school committee can be seen in its entirety on North TV’s Plainville Channel: Comcast channel 8.
