Lights shine bright on NA schools

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Some of the improvements being made at the town's public schools are visible without even entering a building.

Brighter and more efficient lighting recently installed have not only made school buildings more attractive, they're also helping keep the schools more secure.

Plumbing issues have also been addressed at the Community School. The 103 year old building originally housed the town’s high school and, then, the junior high school before becoming home to almost 350 elementary students.

Interim Director of Facilities and Grounds Christopher George detailed the improvements to the school committee during the group's virtual meeting Monday night.

Monday night’s school committee meeting can be seen in its entirety on North TV’s Education and Government Channels: Comcast channels 9 and 98 and Verizon channels 22 and 23.

The meeting can also be streamed to watch at any time on any device by becoming a North TV Insider, a free service to North Attleboro and Plainville cable subscribers.
