COVID-19 cases decline in North

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Plans to reopen Massachusetts will be in vain if reported cases of COVID-19 rise and Gov. Charlie Baker is forced to pull back the reins on the state economy.

Anne Marie Fleming is responsible for tabulating North Attleboro's daily numbers. The town's public health nurse then reports the totals to the state Department of Public Health.

While the numbers have steadily dropped the past few weeks, Fleming keeps a wary eye on the totals to make sure the town continues to trend in the right direction.

Fleming spoke to North TV Thursday afternoon about reported cases and the lives lost over the past week. Both totals are cause for optimism.
