NORTH ATTLEBORO - Although the word “Reliability” isn’t part of the North Attleboro Electric Department’s name, it probably should be.
While a number of customers serviced by Eversource and National Grid were without power during the blizzard that hit the area Sunday and Monday, North Attleboro residents and businesses could once again count on their electrical provider.
According to an article in Thursday’s Sun Chronicle, Norton had 2,357 homes lose power and Seekonk had 1,197. Rehoboth was at 514, Attleboro had 352, Foxboro was at 140, Plainville with 119, Dighton had 90 and Wrentham was at 82. Mansfield, which also has its own electrical department had 186 homes lose power.
The blizzard and North Attleboro Electric’s response were discussed during Thursday night’s meeting of the board of electrical commissioners.
