Test 3

Canto-Osorio first POTW for fall sports

NORTH ATTLEBORO - The busiest fall season in the 20-year history of North TV kicked off last week with four games in three days.

We were at King Philip’s Macktaz Field on September 3 for the Warriors 4-0 shutout of Mansfield.

North Attleboro’s Raymond E. Beaupre, Jr. Field was the site of our game the next day, a 3-0 Red Rocketeers loss to Milford in boys' soccer.

We kicked off the football season Friday night with two games.

North blew out Brockton 42-0 in a 6 o’clock start and King Philip whipped Walpole 21-0 at 7 o’clock.

Our Player of the Week comes from that latter game.

The Warriors Keigan Canto-Osorio had a monster game to earn those honors.

The senior running back, wearing number-4, rushed for 208 yards and one touchdown on 20 carries, he scored another TD on a 6-yard reception and returned a kickoff 43 yards.

On defense, Canto-Osorio had one sack, eight solo tackles and one fumble recovery.

Keigan will receive a copy of the win over Walpole on a USB drive and a Player of the Week t-shirt in King Philip gold..
