NORTH ATTLEBORO - Concerns about the danger of drivers illegally passing stopped school buses when they are picking up or dropping off students was brought up by members of the town's school committee Tuesday night.
Cameras mounted to 10 school buses in the city of Peabody, for example, captured thousands of cars passing stopped buses with red lights flashing from September through May.
North Attleboro buses are not equipped with the safety cameras.
