Test 3

Fall cleanup scheduled for North Attleboro

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Keep North Attleborough Beautiful is getting ready to clean the town this fall.

Town residents can choose to head out anywhere in local neighborhoods and parks to pick up litter with no registration required as part of KNAB's first annual Great Fall Cleanup.

Since the pandemic has made it difficult for KNAB to distribute supplies as they have done for the May cleanups, volunteers are being asked to use their own bags, gloves, and litter grabbers. Residents are also being asked to dispose of filled bags in their own trash.

Marsha Goldstein, the founder of KNAB,emphasized that safety comes first. As much as she would love the town cleaned of all the liter, the safety of the community comes first.

If you find items that are too big, heavy, unwieldy, etc. to pick up, Marsha Goldstein can be reached at 774-306-1124 to arrange for its removal.

The town clean-up will be held on Saturday October 24 & Sunday October 25th. Goldstein urges residents to post their clean up photos to their Facebook page at Keep North Attleborough Beautiful or on Instagram at Keep North Attleborough Beautiful 2020. If you do so you, will be entered into a prize drawing.
