BOSTON & LOWELL - One of the teams North TV covered during the winter sports season captured a state championship while another came up a goal short in their bid for a state title.
The Bishop Feehan boys’ basketball team rallied from a halftime deficit to pull out a 66-63 win over Central Catholic to hoist the Division 1 trophy Sunday night at The Tsongas Center in Lowell. It’s hard to believe, but it was Feehan’s first state championship in boys’ basketball.
The King Philip girls’ hockey team fell to Milton 2-1 Sunday morning in the Division 2 state championship game on the ice at TD Garden.
