NAHS seniors honored with parade

NORTH ATTLEBORO - The spring of 2020 hasn’t been kind to high school seniors.

The tradtiional events that make up the final months of their high school years have either been cancelled or held in a virtual online format.

To add insult to injury, an event planned to present the seniors with their diplomas, as they pulled up to school with family members in their family car, had to be postponed from Thursday night to Friday, June 12th due to heavy rain.

The weather did cooperate for the Big Red Rolling Rally on Tuesday night (June 9), however. The parade was led by the town's police and fire departments followed by seniors riding in cars while wearing caps and gowns. The parade started at the Martin School and proceeded up Landry Avenue to Wilson Whitty Way before ending at the high school.

Tuesday's rally and Friday's Senior Diploma Conferring will be shown as part of a special program on North TV's Education Channel: Comcast channel 9 and Verizon channel 23 in the coming weeks.
