Date set for Tri-County special election

NORTH ATTLEBORO - In addition to a potential renovated or new NAHS, town residents may also be on the hook for paying a large share of a new Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School.

That will be depend on whether a majority of residents in the towns the school serves approve the project when they go to the polls on October 24.

Approximately a third of the school's students come from North Attleboro, so that town would be responsible for the same percentage of the total cost minus the state's share.

The special election was discussed when members of North Attleboro’s board of election commissioners met Thursday night at town hall.
