NORTH ATTLEBORO - Seniors are making the most of their remaining time at the COA's current home.
The staff at the center has a number of special events planned for next month leading up to the Thanksgiving.
The Massachusetts Councils on Aging will make a presentation on nutrition for seniors on November 4 at 12 p.m., the first Celebration of Age for those 90 years and older will be held on November 6 at 11:30 a.m., the annual Veterans Coffee will take place on November 10 at 10 a.m. with Veteran Jim Blasé, and the “FriendsGiving” Thanksgiving luncheon will be held on November 17 at noon.
All of the events will be held at the former Howard Estate at 204 Elm Street.
The senior center is scheduled to be moving down the street to 451 Elm Stree, the former Fisher College building, in the near future.
Senior Center Director Karen Testa and Sandra Mann of the Friends of the North Attleboro Council on Aging were the guests on a new edition of “Inside Government” recorded Wednesday.
Testa talked about the new location and why some seniors are skeptical about the move.
