State budget may cost Plainville, casino's abutting towns

PLAINVILLE - The money the town receives for being the home of Plainridge Park Casino may be in jeopardy along with other communities that border the town.

Our partners at The Sun Chronicle reported in Wednesday’s edition the Massachusetts House Ways and Means Committee budget would stop the flow of casino tax revenues to the Community Mitigation Fund, which aids response efforts in communities that could potentially see increased traffic, crime or other impacts of nearby gaming facilities.

North TV spoke to Plainville Town Administrator Brian Noble on Thursday about the impact the state's potential action would have on the town.
