NORTH ATTLEBORO - The school committee Tuesday night recognized the district's employees who will be retiring at the end of the month.
The committee thanked Charlie Jette, a night custodian at the Community School; Robert Reinhardt, a special education teacher at the Community School; David Kayata, a physical education teacher at the Falls School; Jim Lavin, a night custodian at the Martin School; Karen Crowder, a helper and cashier at the Martin School; Jim Germaine, the head custodian at the Martin School; Pam Cabral, a kindergarten education support professional at the Roosevelt Avenue School; Don Tibbetts, the head custodian at the Roosevelt Avenue School; Wilhelmina Effler, a special education support professional at the middle school; Wayne Griffin, a computer engineering technology teacher at the middle school; Nicole Reminder, a special education teacher at the middle school; Tracy Dunn, a math teacher at the middle school; Katherine Cavedon, a science teacher at the high school; Gloria Rice, a biology teacher at the high school; and Lorrie Lemieux and Cynthia Wise, special education bus drivers for the district.
In addition, school committee chair Tasha Buzzell recognized vice chair Sarah Stone.
The three-term school committee will be relocating to North Carolina with her family during the summer.
