Council approves funds for Roosevelt repairs

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Town councilors approved a transfer of almost $69,000 to pay for damages from a leaking pipe at the Roosevelt Avenue School back in January.

A one-inch copper water supply line through the ceiling of the fourth-grade hallway froze and ruptured.

The ensuing flood significantly compromised the flooring and walls of two classrooms and the hallway.

Repairs were completed on August 28, just in time for the start of the 2025-2026 school year.
