ATTLEBORO - It was a relatively quiet week for the North TV sports crew with only two games during April's last week.
We were at the Raymond E. Beaupre, Jr. field on Monday for boys’ lacrosse. The Red Rocketeers fell behind early against Canton, rallied but eventually fell short 13-8.
Bishop Feehan’s Walsh Field was the site of a cross-city softball game between the Shamrocks and the Attleboro Blue Bombardiers. Just like Monday’s lacrosse game, the home team fell behind 5-0, rallied to tie the game at five all and eventually fell to AHS 11-5.
Our Player of the Week comes from that softball game.
Izzy Cox, wearing number 2, tripled and singled. The junior from North Attleboro also walked and had a sacrifice fly to knock in a run. She was flawless at shortstop with six assists and two line-drive outs to be hamed our Player of the Week.
Izzy will receive a copy of the game against Attleboro on a USB drive and a Player of the Week t-shirt in Bishop Feehan green. We’ll announce our Player of the Week from this week’s five games next week at this time.
