Mordas leads Feehan over BC High to earn POTW honors

ATTLEBORO - It was another busy week for the North TV sports crew with five games in six days.

We were inside the King Philip gymnasium Monday, September 29 for the Warriors’ 3-0 sweep of Stoughton.

North Attleboro’s Raymond E. Beaupre, Jr. Field was the site of the girls’ soccer showdown between King Philip and the Red Rocketeers that next day. The lopsided affair went to KP 4-nil.

We were inside at NAHS on Wednesday for volleyball action. The Red Rocketeers were blanked again, this time 3-0 at the hands of Norton in the Kenneth Pickering Gymnasium.

The North Attleboro football team had a bye week, but we were on the road with King Philip at Natick on Friday. The Warriors won the battle of unbeaten teams 23-21 to improve to 5-0 on the season.

We closed out the week on Saturday by bringing viewers Bishop Feehan’s annual homecoming game. The Shamrocks shocked Division 1 power Boston College High 35-13 at McGrath Stadium for their fourth win with only one loss.

Our Player of the Week comes from that Feehan win.

Senior quarterback and captain Owen Mordas connected on 13 passes for 242 yards and two scores to lead the Shamrocks over the Eagles.

Click the video below to watch highlights of Owen's (#9) big day.

Owen will receive a copy of the win over Boston College High on a USB drive and a Player of the Week t-shirt in Bishop Feehan green.

We’ll announce our Player of the Week next week at this time.
