PLAINVILLE - Safety was on the agenda when the select board met Monday night at town hall.
Members of the board approved a 25-mph speed limit on a portion of South Street by a vote of 2-1, with Maggie Clark being the lone no vote.
The busy street is the main thoroughfare through town, starting at the North Attleboro border to the south and Wrentham to the north.
The new speed limit will only impact the portion of the street from the American Legion to St. Martha’s Church.
