NORTH ATTLEBORO - The controversy over Flock cameras dominated the agenda of Monday night’s meeting of the town council.
There are a number of the automated license plate reading cameras mounted throughout North Attleboro including the intersection of North Washington, South Washington and Elm Streets with Richards Avenue in the downtown.
Police Chief Richard McQuade appeared before the town’s legistlative branch to discuss installation and use of the cameras.
Town Manager Michael Borg announced earlier this month a pause on the installation of new cameras and a reduction in the time data is kept.
Among the objections, councilors were upset they were not notified before any cameras were installed.
