North church to host MLK Day Interfaith Service

NORTH ATTLEBORO - The 39th annual commemoration of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday will be held on Monday, January 19.

The municipal program will take place at Attleboro’s city hall, 77 Park Street, at 1 p.m.

The interfaith service will follow at 2 p.m. at the Central Congregational Church, 109 Commonwealth Avenue, in Attleboro Falls.

The service will feature keynote speaker Meghan E. Irons, professor of the practice of impact journalism at Boston University.

The municipal program and interfaith service are hosted by the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Committee of Greater Attleboro.

The chair of the committee, Ethel Garvin was a guest on “Inside Look” recently.
