NORTH ATTLEBORO - The town’s Opioid Task Force is offering free Narcan training in hopes more residents will have the life-saving skill.
Following the success of September’s session, the task force and the SAFE Coalition will host additional trainings at the Richards Memorial Library at 118 North Washington St.
The next session will be held this Saturday, October 25, from 1 to 2 p.m.
Additional training will be available on January 12, February 7 and March 7.
Attendees will learn how to recognize the signs of an overdoes, learn how to administer Narcan and practice how to administer the drug.
Attendees will also receive two 4 mg doses of the drug, which reverses a known or suspected opiod-related overdose.
