NORTH ATTLEBORO - The Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities will hold a public hearing Tuesday, October 7 at 7 p.m. in the North Attleboro High School auditorium with Liberty Utilities regarding the company's proposed rate increase.
Liberty supplies natural gas to North Attleboro, Plainville and Wrentham.
Residents who heat their homes with gas would experience an increase of approximately 37% if Liberty's request is approved.
A residential non-heating customer would see an increase of more than 80%.
The request has been suspended by the DPU until May 1 so they can properly review the request.
