West Nile Virus latest threat to area's residents

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Can 2020 end soon enough?

 

First, it was COVID-19 and dealing with the safety protocols put in place by state and local officials. Residents now need to be concerned about mosquitoes again after officials announced that West Nile Virus is back in the area.

 

The discovery of WNV was found in a “bird-biting” mosquito captured on July 31 in Attleboro, the first case in Bristol County this year. Is Eastern Equine Encephalitis next?
