Bannon's holiday performance earns POG honors

ATTLEBORO - Football was the only sport covered by the North TV sports crew during the Thanksgiving week.

We were LIVE at Fenway Park for King Philip’s 35-0 blanking of Franklin on Tuesday, November 21.

We were LIVE again less than 24-hours later when Feehan closed out their season night in Dartmouth with a 31-6 blowout of Bishop Stang.

And we were LIVE one more time at Attleboro’s Tozier-Cassidy Field that next morning for North Attleboro’s 20-15 win over the Blue Bombardiers.

Our North TV Player of the Week for those three games is Ryan Bannon.

The Red Rocketeers senior captain, wearing number 44, was a force on both sides of the ball. He displayed his power on a touchdown run with 3:40 remaining to put North up for good.

He was chosen the Championship Awards Guys Most Outstanding Player of the Game for North Attleboro.

He was also named our North TV Player of the Week.

Click the video below to see his touchdown run and the award presentation.

Ryan will receive a copy of Thursday’s win and a Player of the Week shirt in North Attleboro red.

We’ll announce our final Player of the Week for the fall sports season next week at this time.
