Rausch discusses outdoor sales of alcohol

NEEDHAM - Restaurants across Massachusetts are hoping legislation in the House and Senate will help them bounce back from limitations imposed as a result of COVID-19.

State law limits restaurants to serve alcohol only inside their establishment unless their licenses specify outdoor sales. Bills in the legislature would allow diners to have dinner and a glass of wine under the stars.

The hope is that a temporary change in the law would allow owners the space needed to socially distance diners and still make a profit.

The issue was one of many Sen. Becca Rausch discussed during her weekly interview with North TV on Thursday (May 28).
