Test 3

Downtown NA speed limit staying at 30 mph

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Complaints about cars speeding on South Washington Street were addressed during Tuesday’s meeting of the town's traffic study advisory group.

Residents of the portion of the street from Chestnut Street to the CVS on Route 1 have attended numerous meetings asking for the group to reduce the 30 miles per hour limit to 25.

The request was denied Tuesday by a 2-1 vote.

The group is expected to consider reducing the limit to 25 on North Washington Street at a future meeting.
