Test 3

KP's Mullen named Player of the Week

ATTLEBORO - The week of January 8 was a busy one for the North TV sports crews, as we brought viewers four games at four different locations in a five-day span.

We were in the King Philip gymnasium Monday for the Warriors’ 62-51 win over Foxboro in boys’ basketball.

Attleboro’s New England Sports Center was the site of Wednesday’s live coverage of King Philip vs. North Attleboro in hockey. The Red Rocketeers jumped out to an early 1-nothing lead, but the Warriors answered with five goals for the 5-1 win.

We were at North’s Pickering Gymnasium Thursday night for Franklin’s 67-47 girls' basketball rout of the Red Rocketeers.

We closed out the week at Bishop Feehan for boys’ basketball. The Shamrocks coasted to an early 19-point lead before holding on for a 62-55 win over Cathedral.

There were a number of options for our North TV Player of the Week and we went with King Philip’s Tim Mullen. Number-2 scored the second goal, the eventual game winner, from his right wing position and the third from in front of the net as the Warriors came back to beat North 5-1.

Mullen will receive a DVD copy of that game and a Player of the Week t-shirt in King Philip gold. We’ll announce our Player of the Week for week six next week at this time.
