Kelly treats residents to ice cream

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Republican state Senate candidate Matt Kelly is helping residents cool down during these hot summer days.

Local residents, town hall employees, as well as children and staff from the park and recreation summer program were introduced to the Franklin town councilor during a free ice cream party he hosted in front of town hall on Monday, August 17.

"We want to get out there and we want people to know that we're here," Kelly told North TV.

"What we're looking at is what we can do to work with Charlie Baker and the state representatives and state senators to figure out how we're going to bring money back to our communities, and really work for the people."

Kelly is seeking a two-year seat in the state senate. He is running unopposed in the September 1 state primary and will take on incumbent Democrat Rebecca Rausch on November 3. Rausch is also running unopposed in the primary.
