North council addresses migrant 'crisis'

NORTH ATTLEBORO - One week after Town Manager Michael Borg reported the arrival of additional migrant families sent to town by state officials, the town council unanimously approved a resolution addressing the current crisis.

Councilors are not happy with the lack of financial support from the state and federal government.

President Justin Pare read the resolution before the debate and vote.

Monday’s meeting was held in the James Rice Meeting Room at the Woodcock School Administration Building due to water damage to the lower level of town hall during the September 11 storm.

That meeting can be seen in its entirety through Thursday on North TV’s Government Channel: Comcast channel 98 and Verizon channel 23.
