PLAINVILLE - Honors were handed out during the select board's semi-montly meeting last Monday night.
Members were introduced to and then witnessed the swearing in of three police sergeants, two police detectives, two new police officers and three new firefighters.

In addition, select board members issues letters of commendation to Sergeant Chad D. Cerce, Sergeant Michael D. Cuddy, Officer Scott S. Dodson, Officer William C. McEvoy and Officer Matthew T. Webber of the police department and Deputy Michael Mercadante, Firefighter Jared Erickson, Firefighter Brad Maduskuie and Firefighter Benjamin Angelo for their efforts in rescuing a 43-year-old man seriously injured when he was impage while driving a utility off-road vehicle in the woods in June.
