PLAINVILLE - Residents will assemble in the Wood School cafetorium a week from Wednesday, September 10 for a special town meeting that could save the town a significant amount of money.
The town’s select board, on August 11, approved the meeting after announcing the state’s financing program will not count future reimbursements toward construction of the new water treatment plant.
Select Board Chair Brian Kelly and Town Administrator Brian Noble were in the North TV studio Friday for a special edition of “The Chairman’s Report” previewing that meeting.
The two officials explained why the meeting is needed and the ramifications if the article on the warrant doesn’t pass.
