NORTH ATTLEBORO - A Strange choice was made to lead the high school’s boys’ basketball program, as in Tyler Strange.
School Superintendent John Antonucci and Athletic Director Nick Schlierf made the announcement this week that the Leominster High School and Gardner-Webb University graduate would be the school's new head coach.
He most recently coached the Littleton High School boys’ team to its highest ranking in school history.
Before that, Strange served as an assistant coach at Wofford College, an NCAA Division 1 school in South Carolina.
He was also an associate head coach at Montreat College in North Carolina, leading the team to two NAIA national tournament appearances.
The new coach visited North TV this week to discuss his new position.
