NORTH ATTLEBORO - The flow chart for town departments may look a little different in the coming months.
Town Manager Michael Borg told town councilors during the group's hybrid meeting Wednesday night that his plan is aimed at improving efficiency across town departments. He expects to submit a proposed bylaw to the the council at their December 14 meeting.
“I’m working with each of the departments and I’m looking at how better could we organize departments that exist today to do a better job than they’re doing," Borg told the council.
He also gave an example of how some of the different departments might be streamlined, “If you look at health and human services, you would think that board of health, council on aging, veterans agent, all of those could potentially work under one operational directive.”
Wednesday night’s meeting of the Town Council can currently be seen on North TV’s North Attleboro Government Channel: Comcast channel 98 and Verizon channel 23.
